Hello students and parents!
My name is Robyn Glazman and I will be your teacher for
the 2006-2007 school year at Curlew Creek Elementary. I have worked at Curlew Creek in the STARS program for three years
now. I actually attended this school myself for my elementary education. It was in my Kindergarten class that I
decided that I wanted to become a teacher. I went to college at St. Petersburg College and while working on my bachelors
I worked at Curlew Creek in the YMCA before and after school program. When working in the YMCA I decided that I
wanted to work with the children with special needs and that's why I am now the STARS teacher for the 4th and 5th grade class.
I was born and raised in Clearwater, Florida and I absolutely love it here.
While growing up I have always known that I wanted to work with kids. Besides that though I love sports and played flag
football for four years and then after that I ended up coaching for three years. Basketball is another sport I enjoy,
every Sunday. I am engaged to be married to my boyfriend of two years, but we are waiting until he gets back from Iraq.
He is a Heavy Machinary Operator in the U.S. Army. Arts and crafts is a fun thing I do and I try to incorporrate as
many as possible into my lesson plans. I feel as though the hands on approach is the best way to teach for children.
I have not traveled much expect for many Army bases, but I plan of traveling
a lot in my later years. My favorite place to eat is at the family events, lots of different foods but my favorite has
to be cornbread with baked beans and curry goat all mixed together. My favorite place to be has to be at home with my
family. I hope this opened a little about me and to help you know me just a little bit better.
